Lake Shore Boulevard from New Brunswick Way to York Street and York Street and University Avenue northbound from Lake Shore Boulevard to Armoury Street (south of Dundas Street West) will be closed on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from approximately 1pm to 3:30pm for Khalsa Day Parade. This event is expected to cause delays of 45 minutes to 1 hour on Gardiner Expressway. It is STRONGLY recommended that you avoid this route between 1pm and 3:30pm and travel before or after this time. There may also be signficant delays on King Street West, Queen Street West, The Queensway and southbound Highway 427. Severe delays to GO Transit bus routes 16, 21, 31 and to Toronto Transit Commission routes 121 Fort York-Esplanade, 501 Queen, 504 King, 509 Harbourfront, 510 Spadina, and 511 Bathurst. Note: City of Toronto claims that Lake Shore Boulevard closure is eastbound only but it has typically been closed in both directions in previous years. No subway Line 2 Victoria Park to Kennedy April 27-28, 2019. Alternative: Shuttle buses.
